THE SCHOOL DAY
Honley School Daycare – Jaggar Lane Site
Daycare is open 7.30am-6pm, 5 days a week, 51 weeks a year offering both fee paying and funded places for children aged 2-4 years. Drop off and collection times are arranged with the Childcare Manager on an individual basis.
Early Years and Key Stage 1 - School Street Site
Early Years (Reception and Nursery)
The school doors are open from 8:45, registration takes place at 9:00am a morning activity is provided for pupils to engage with between entering school and registration time. The nursery door is unlocked at 11.50am – 12.20pm for the collection and admittance of part-time children.
If you need to deliver or collect your child during the school day please enter by the main entrance. Inside the door you will find a buzzer to your left. Press this and the school office staff will admit you to the building. You will be asked to use the electronic system to sign your child in or out of school.
No-one is allowed to play on the equipment in the playground unless supervised by a member of staff. Please do not allow your child to play on the climbing frames outside of school hours.
Break times
Morning Playtime: 11:00 - 11:20
Lunch: 11:45 - 12:45
NB Outside activities are available throughout the morning and afternoon sessions as part of continuous provision.
Home time for both EYFS and KS1 is 3:20. Parents and carers should wait in the playground outside the classroom doors. Staff will ensure children are handed to their adults.
Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2)
Doors to the classrooms will be open from 8.45am for children to filter in for the start of school at 9:00. The school cannot accept legal responsibility for children who arrive before this time, so please do wait in the playground with your child until they are called in.

The total amount of school hours at EYFS and KS1 equals: 32 hours and 55 minutes per week.
Key Stage 2 (Years 3 – 6) - Jaggar Lane Site
School takes responsibility for pupils at 8:50am classroom doors open at this time and there is a member of staff on duty. Morning registration is at 9:00am. Afternoon registration is 1:00pm. Pupils arriving after these times will need to come to the school office to be signed in and will be recorded as late.

Lunch: Years 3 and 5: 11:45 - 12:45, Years 4 and 6: 12:00 - 1:00
School finishes at 3:25pm and pupils can be collected from the classroom door or either gate. Staff are always present at the main gate at the end of the day.
